The community spirit in Cooper’s Pond is directly related to the hard work and dedication of its committee members. They are volunteers who give of their free time to work together and offer their creativity and organizational skills to ‘get the job done’, keeping Cooper’s Pond an active and friendly neighborhood in which to live. If you have questions or concerns OR if you would like to be involved in any of these committees, please call the committee chairperson listed on the ‘Committees’ pages in the front of your directory. Below is a short explanation of the function of each committee.

  • Architectural Control Committee 
    The ACC insures that the design standards and covenants of Cooper’s Pond are maintained. Any home improvement or any landscaping modification must submitted in writing for ACC evaluation. You may download the appropriate form here: http://bit.ly/RHbkAX. Homeowners must have written ACC approval before work may begin.

  • Communications News 
    The Communications Committee works to keep all homeowners informed through website, newsletter and e-mail communications.

  • COPS News
     The COPS Committee consists of a chairperson, liaison to the police department, and 19 block captains to provide information on any safety issues to the residents through a calling tree and/or e-mail. All vandalism or crimes should be reported to block captains.

  • Facilities News 
    The Facilities Committee oversees the administration and upkeep of all recreational areas – pool, tennis courts, playground, clubhouse and grounds.

  • Government Liaison  
    The Government Committee keeps residents informed on zoning and land use issues that could have an impact on Cooper’s Pond.

  • Ladies Club  
    The Ladies Club Committee plans events for the ladies of Cooper’s Pond to provide an opportunity for entertainment and socialization.

  • Social 
    The Social Committee plans and organizes social functions throughout the year for all age groups. Events include the Easter egg hunt, Memorial Day parade, Fourth of July picnic, Halloween costume party, fall street dance, and Christmas Progressive dinner. 

  • Sunshine 
    The Sunshine Committee recognizes births, deaths, marriages and illnesses with a word of congratulations or encouragement through cards and gifts.

  • Welcome News
    The Welcome Committee acknowledges new homeowners as they move in with a welcome packet of information and a small gift. The Welcome Committee and Ladies’ Club also co-host a Tea every spring to honor all new neighbors.
